Woody Briquettes are a heat log made of 100% Beech sawdust compressed under extreme pressure with no additives to form a “Heat Log Briquette”. They burn extremely hot, are long lasting and have a very high calorific content generating a really good heat. Woody Briquettes are made in Italy and have been extensively laboratory tested and accredited by the “Woodsure Ready To Burn Scheme” and one of the few heat logs with this accreditation. They compare to Normandy Beech Briquettes for performance and heat generated but you get 9 briquettes per box weighing 15kgs whereas Normandy are 6 briquettes weighing 12kgs. They are packed in cardboard boxes that are easy to store and also nice for display at the side of your fire. They are perfect for Pizza Ovens and widely used in Italy for the Pizza Industry and popular for Pizza Ovens and used extensively by chefs in restaurants as they get to temperature very quickly, long lasting and create a lovely flame.
